QUICK FIX FOR 500 ERROR - DO THIS NOW
================================================================================

PROBLEM: Your login page returns 500 error because the database is missing
the 'username' column that the code expects.

SOLUTION: Follow these 3 simple steps

================================================================================
STEP 1: RUN THE DATABASE FIX
================================================================================

Open phpMyAdmin:
1. Go to your hosting control panel (cPanel)
2. Click "phpMyAdmin"
3. Select database: alliedcreditunio_mkdb
4. Click "SQL" tab at the top
5. Copy and paste this SQL code:

------- COPY FROM HERE -------

ALTER TABLE `account`
ADD COLUMN `username` VARCHAR(100) DEFAULT NULL AFTER `uname`;

UPDATE `account`
SET `username` = `uname`
WHERE `username` IS NULL OR `username` = '';

UPDATE `account`
SET `username` = 'Webster', `uname` = '9180074482'
WHERE `id` = 517;

CREATE INDEX `idx_username` ON `account`(`username`);

------- COPY TO HERE -------

6. Click "Go" button
7. You should see "Query executed successfully"

================================================================================
STEP 2: VERIFY THE FIX
================================================================================

Option A: Use the verification script
1. Open your browser
2. Go to: http://yoursite.com/verify_fix.php
3. Check if all tests pass (green checkmarks)

Option B: Check manually in phpMyAdmin
1. In phpMyAdmin, click "SQL" tab
2. Run this query:

SELECT id, uname, username, fname, lname FROM account LIMIT 5;

3. You should see the 'username' column with values

================================================================================
STEP 3: TEST LOGIN
================================================================================

1. Go to your login page
2. Enter:
   Username: Webster
   Password: 12345678!
3. Click login
4. Should work without 500 error!

================================================================================
UNDERSTANDING THE FIELDS
================================================================================

uname = Account number (e.g., '9180074482') - stored in database
username = Login username (e.g., 'Webster') - what user types to login
upass = Password (e.g., '12345678!')

Users now login with USERNAME, not account number!
